I think that was the plan until Openspaceman found that the coil had stopped sparking all together (going by the posts above …)

I have a starter pulley that has a hex drill adapter for stihl.

 

It's not a good idea to drive off the flywheel nut because when you stop the drill the inertia of the flywheel undoes the nut. I found that out long ago when flywheels had woodruff keys you could replace.

That's a problem I never had.
