Farmers association/pick up truck discounts?

My van is sick and it’s already stung me 1400 this month and will sting me another grand or so in the near future so before I say fk it and sign on the jam roll…

I’ve been toying with the idea of a brand new pick up, under warranty etc and have been told about this farmers association, not sure if NFU is the same thing or not.

Basically been hearing of fellas saving 20 percent on pick ups…

I’m a woodcutter, but I’ll happily be a farmer for a day or two to save myself a couple pennies.

Last time I renewed the insurance it was mentioned but the discount was pointless and they worked it out in the background.

Why not ring the NFU ask for the price then see, think it was selected brands tho.

Plus ask the dealer, cash is always king.

I've a friend who has membership, says how great a deal insurance is for contractors, personally I think they're blowing smoke up his bum.

NFU are offering 10% off Hilux, £1000 off some D-Max, and 2 or 3% off the Ford/VW pickup.

By the time you’ve paid membership it’s not worth bothering with any of these, you’d be able to negotiate as good a discount with the dealer directly.
Toyota in Warrington are apparently a big fleet supplier - they offered me a pretty good discount as a straight purchase a couple of years ago.
Dealers with physical stock are more likely to be open to negotiation than those who would need to order you something in.

Not nessy celery. The dealer is usually much more interested in finance.

I have heard there is a fair bit of stock about that they are trying to shift so who knows.

I also heard Elvis was alive, the earth is flat and the weather is controlled by the government. Personally I don't think any modern vehicle is worth the money and the government couldn't organise a pissup in a brewery never mind control anything.
