Supermarket Sprinter Mileage

Hey all,

Looking around at ex Asda, Morrisons, Tesco etc Sprinters. I'd love to get a long life out of this one, at least 10 years.

One I'm considering has 195,000 miles but I was aiming for 150k.

Any advice guys? Some pals have said that things like "ex fleet are usually well maintained so 200k is the equivalent of 100k anyway"

Others have said I'll run into too many problems, but not really said what to look out for.

Cheers :)

I’ve got a sprinter that’s on 277k miles and honestly compared to the one with 74k you can’t tell a difference.

supermarket ones can’t get hammered as they are autos and restricted to 60 so can’t be thrashed too hard.

id be more looking at drop lines, ball joints and the likes as they’ve probably be up and down kerbs harshly.

sprinters are reliable and parts are cheap. Just make sure it has got a service record. I’ve got 3 sprinters and never give much bother.

You say you want to get 10 years out of it? There will be some people on here doing a couple of thousand miles a year, and others doing 30/40/50k miles a year
