I think I'd probably go for barbed wires all bundled up IN the water if they were not deterred by a fence..

You can get the spinning spikes but yes make up some timbers and wrap them with wire then throw them in the water as you have suggested is a good idea 😂

I have done insulated barbed wire stock fencing a few years back.

It's still up and the horses stay well clear....👹

That is not legal to do, if you look up the law on electric fencing.
