Shaft of pump should have a corresponding spline on it that meshes with the splined hole in the feed rollers that you can see in pics. If not greased regular they wear away.

What year is it? If it’s a  later one shouldn’t the end of the Spline Drive Bottom Roller you’ve pictured there finish flush with the outside of the roller box? This then allows the motor splined shaft go all the way into the drive roller? With a small section green plastic spline bush sat between the roller box and spline drive? Has it been rebuilt recently? Are the top and bottom roller mixed up on reassembly at some time because it doesn’t look right which I’m sure you’ve realised.
