Brilliant. Thank you.  That’s a fine looking tree with lots of interest. Wouldn’t have found that on my own. Am also planning an informal orchard out back so look forward to some sorb fruit. Ace

The chanticleer is a pretty, shapely tree (orn.pear), several of the crab apples are worth a look too- Malus evereste.John downie gives both nice blossom and v.ornamental fruits. Agree with other comments re:the mountain Ash too.Tradidionally they were planted close to a dwelling to ward off witches and evil spirits.

I'd go for a Broad -leaf Cockspur Thorn (Crataegus persimilis 'prunifolia') - ticks all your boxes and will do very well on Herefordshire clay.

That looks like Ash farm in Much Birch? If it is I'm not stalking you -  we used to live opposite.

😂😂😂I think you missed the point there fella

I think I hit it dead on target. The OP specified various aspirations for the statement tree. Monkey puzzle would have been a very poor choice on several of those.

"F#*k it ... Wack in a monkey puzzle 😭" was not even vaguely on point. Not helped by the unnecessary vulgarity. I hope the OP realises that you are not representative of the industry.
