I do feel that I'm developing an eye.

but to be honest I've still got a way to go on mastering exposure & contrast.

 

Hama's lent me a tripod and some books, so I'll keep pluggin away.

Nice David......try bracketing your exposures a bit more.....using the exposure compensation dial on top left of camera. Especially handy when centre framing a tree against sky. Can under/over expose different parts of the photo then as there can be 2-3 stops difference in exposure between the ground, tree and the sky.

I'm pretty much using the ecd on most shots.

This is deffo a work in progress
