but to be honest I've still got a way to go on mastering exposure & contrast.

Nice David......try bracketing your exposures a bit more.....using the exposure compensation dial on top left of camera. Especially handy when centre framing a tree against sky. Can under/over expose different parts of the photo then as there can be 2-3 stops difference in exposure between the ground, tree and the sky.

Great photos. Was the b&w of all the coins in the fallen log taken on the path to Aira Force near Ullswater ? If it is my kids each put a coin there 2 years ago when we were on holiday. Thanks for stirring the memories.

Attended a London Tree Officers update on Oak Processionary Moth today at Syon Park,
