Our replaced front door double glazed unit.

After the original unit spontaneously "imploded".

By a "reputable" local glazier, with whom I carefully checked that he could get a unit to match the high spec Argon filled "K" glass originals. I even quoted the Baskil spec to him.

He has "promised" to come out and look at it.

Sigh!

Just replaced 8 sealed units in my house. Pretty easy job with UPVC windows. Another skill I learnt after fitting my old house with replacement doors and windows including two patio doors, back and front door. All still perfectly sealed 18 years on.

Pun aside, doors and windows are a great portal into the building world. They seem intimidating with all the moving parts and all the fear of seeping doom but you do one, it's a massive anticlimax and you start to realise that none of it is that hard.
