Speedfeed Trimmer Head

Has anyone used a speedfeed head on trimmer or brushcutter? Much that I like the Oregon Jet Head, there is a lot of line waste with it.

I still use an old style sawtec high speed head.

 

It's probably considered old school and manual but 3.3mm line lasts forever, bought a 2.25kg spool of the stuff and I've still got half a spool after 15years.

The Speedfeed head gets a good review on YT, cheap enough so think I’ll give it a go and see how I get on. Will report back.

Have you tried thicker line with the Oregon jet head?  I find two pieces of 4mm square cord can last for 3 or 4 tanks of fuel.  I think its important to use it in the correct situation, if cutting waist high grass or thick stuff like docks, its time to move up to a blade. I've never been that impressed with the standard bump heads.
