Check out Trademe.co.nz and search for arborist. There are heaps of jobs in all fields of Arb. The biggest company is Treescape, they have vacancies all over the place. Then there is Asplundh (Big American outfir that recently bought Treescape ((Don't get me started..'')) There are some pretty good mid range companies, Treetech, Franklin Tree Care, Tree Care in Tauranga.. Loads of little companies. Power companies if you want to do utility work. Pick where you want to live, according to the lifestyle you want to live and send your CV. You'll get a job in no time. Don't pretend to be something you're not and you'll get on fine.. New Zealanders are kind and gentle, tolerant, welcoming and sweet...🤣🤣🤣

It was many, many years ago.. But I rocked up in Christchurch with my tickets but less than a years experience. I got a job with a small firm (treetech was only 3 guys then) but left pretty quickly as they wanted someone who knew what they were doing. I got another job the next day with city care and had a great 6 months working for them. I still regret returning to the UK.
