 a friend has asked me to help her clear some tree's on her property (large garden) .

where would i look to make Shure they dont have any tree protection orders on them ?  as i mainly just cut pre felled timber .

Local Council's website may have a map showing Conservation Areas and Tree Orders, or you'll find the contact details there for the Tree Officer and get in touch directly to ask.

Or, you can go to the Local Authority main office... where they have to keep a copy of any Order available for inspection at ALL reasonable hours. I've done this before and got a puzzled response.

When you do you need to get put through to planning, most of the switchboard operators will direct you to the tree teams instead. First port of call is probably finding the council website planning portal, usually www. councilname.gov.uk/planning

All good advice above. 2 out 3 local authority near here have online maps.

Just do a search for 'council name' tpo map, probably best done on a laptop as you can zoom on the map more easily.

With luck the council will have a website.
