I gave this a bash yesterday as i was working over a tall hedge and only had 1 groundie and my lowering point was on the wrong side of where i wanted the wood to go, it is simply ataching the weighted end back onto the lowering line, as discused on another thread with steve bullman, the 2 krabs isnt ideal but a dmm revolver would be perfect and miss out one of the krabs and put the sling through the eye of the rope. It worked a treat, not exactly a smooth zip line effect but saved an extra rope and a bit of time as it was only small peices. :001_smile:

Its amassing what a two man crew and the desire to get the job done can come up with!!!

To many people just say "we need another man" or "another rope" or "it can't be done".

It will be your can do attitude and thinking out side the box, that has led to your great success!!!

Nice one Stevie and thanks for sharing!!!

hitch climber, PERFECT mate:thumbup1:but i have 3 spare wee pulleys in my bag, so i will get them onto some krabs and i have some of those clips for krabs aswell, i think i shall go to the van now and knock them up:biggrin:

the smaller the bit of timber then the smaller diameter limb to lower it off, seems obvious i know but i am sure you guys have lowered small stuff before and it has just dangled, then you have to help it down, if you have a pulley in then this isnt a problem, but on small jobs time is money and installing a pulley takes up time, i have a big lowering kit that rarely gets used, i always have an old climbing line in my main bag for pulling and lowering.
