What chainsaw could this be

Looks like a Stihl 070.

Deffo not a contra , 070 or 090.

 

Very similar to the 075 and later 076....except the engine cover is higher in that pic. Will check my old catalogues and get back

Stihl  075 or maybe the later 076 with the hot regions extended air filter casing for a larger air filter to be fitted.. Cover design changed depending where in the world it was going to be sold.. Here's one with the tall cover removed. Uk and europe had a flatter filter and cover

It could be a ts760, the disc cutter version on the 076. Don't need an oiler and chainbrake for stump grinding... the high top filter cover would be standard in that case

Yup..I would go with that. The TS760 was based on the 076 hence similarities, but the air filter cover looks more like the standard TS760 one.

It is a Stihl TS760 disc cutter engine on the early Alpine Magnums, I have one...
