Renting a truck and chipper

Problem is the days that you aren't charging that money.

 

When I have a 1200 day it's because the job is big, so I hire in a couple of mates and they bring truck and chipper. I wouldn't want to be paying hire fees every day when starting out.

 

Other thing with buying a van, if it doesn't work out you sell it again. As above, if I were you I'd buy a van and then hire in a chipper only when needed.

Yes very true, I am just exploring options at this point. Another thing to do is hire someone else with a truck and chipper

Get a tipper truck or 4x4 and tipping trailer brought along with a wee chipper like the green mech cs100 or a joe beau etc then hire a bigger chipper when you need it. After a few months you will be spending as much on big chipper hire as it would cost you to finance a 6 inch machine then you buy one and wonder how you ever managed with out it.
