Mmmmmm.............scratching non existant beardy thing.

maybe de-gloving like in the Sweet Chestnuts in Johns shots, would add to the aesthetic of what were trying to create.

After all, that's what nature is doing over time, and that's where were trying to get to; a place that looks like time ravaged decay.

Fine shots H-ocky :thumbup1:

Great looking woods.

Any interesting fung to report?

Do you know whenever I go to that wood its strangely sterile , not much visible activity at all. A few G‘dermas noted this morning but nothing worthy of reaching for the shutter button.

The wood itself is being subjected to some significant clearance (originally it was open pasture land with mainly pollarded Sweet Chestnuts). Beech and Oak have since crept in and its these that are being felled.

Would make an excellent location for a workshop! :thumbup1:

Some fine looking fractures/coros on the big Ash on the hedgeline going up the field at Broadway.

(The one with the old hispidus at the base, that was the first stop for the recording, just down from the bendy arch)

I took a couple of close ups, but this poxy little cam, ain't doing the do.

Did you get any shots, John?
