Hydraulic controls

Forwarder

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a spool vale block in the cab for the crane operation on my forwarding trailer, its a line of 7 fairly well worn out levers, but it works without leaks, but its like playing a piano !

I would like to have two low pressure servo joysticks and a couple of electric buttons, nice and light to lift in and out and improve speed of operation and coordination, (well that's my excuses for wanting it anyway !!).

Question is, where do I go for a good system that isn't going to break the bank?

Your recommendations would be appreciated and I bet its a regular question on here. South coast would be good.

Thank you.

There’s an eBay seller in Finland that sells hydraulic stuff. I got a pump for a tractor about half the local stealer price. I will try find a link for you.

upgraded again to the servo joystick on a new trailer.

All electric or with a low pressure pilot circuit?

I looked into changing the controls on the Valmet 828 or 840 as the cards for the computer were getting scarce and it seemed swapping the valve block and joysticks for a complete electric set seemed to be the way to go, a good few thousand even then 10 years back.

We never did it and as far as I know all three forwarders are sitting idle in the yard still.
