Morso 1809 replacement parts

Recommended Posts

I know I need to replace the bricks and the baffle plate in my Morso, but I can't tell what the baffle plate should be. Someone has put in what I think is their own version of a baffle plate. It's flat and sits horizontally with some fins welded to the top of it. When I look at Morso parts, the baffle plate spares look nothing like what's in mine. My firebricks are probably not Morso either, I'm guessing. They just sit square and I can't see how the angled baffle plate I can see on spares sites would fit on top of the firebricks I have. The door to my Morso says its a 1809 model and I just want to get it working as efficiently as possible.  Advice on the baffle plate (back plate too? There is none) and the bricks would be greatly appreciated.

Bricks are quite easy - based on my stove, 1" thick and covering the edges and back, 2/3 of the height of the firebox. The backs of mine have a 45 degree chamfer at the back so they lock together. I made a template for them ages ago and just make my own as and when I need to. There are many after market suppliers out there.

If you look online I bet some of the supplier will even p[ublisj the dimensions of them

Baffle plates, I have bought in.

I'd get that first if you are replacing both and then you can see if the firebricks you have will work or not.

Same parts as my panther 2110, On the site you will find the baffle and side fire bricks. My side bricks are made out of vermiculate sheet.

A pic Inside and out of the stove would help identify the model and parts req

Hi,

I am a Morso Uk dealer,   please post a pic of the stove with the doors closed and another with the doors open,  is the ash lip just below the doors part of the bottom of the firebox or is it bolted on.

Does it have an air supply lever under the ash lip,  if so does it have a Bakerlight knob on the end or a thread where there was such a knob.

1809 is a casting number,  there is an 1809 model, and a 2110 and 2130 and 2140.    There are two baffle plates that cover the range including 1809.   I have a 2110 at home,  there is 1809 on some of the parts.

If the plates are in stock in Denmark order lead time is about 2 weeks usually,  carriage around £35 plus VAT.

Morso Uk do not hold any parts in the UK these days but there are a couple of parts specialists such as mentioned above that do.

If you need to call me my  office number is 01327 843400,  not Tues, Weds pm on Sunday.
