Not just there Eggs.  My mate half an hour away was telling me that all the bus routes his three kids used up to last year to get to different schools have gone - every one of them.

There’s a local bus service in our village. Never seen more than 3 people on it. I’d imagine it’s a similar story throughout the country. It’s surely a service that is haemorrhaging money.

 

expect a lot more stuff to disappear over the next few years

The buses I referred to were rammed twice a day with kids getting to and from school!

Because the government have a duty to provide free transport for kids. If you choose to send your kid to a school that’s outside of the catchment then the cost is on you. So it’s perhaps these busses that have been cancelled. Not saying it’s ok

What happens when you can't get your kid into a catchment area school?
