wooden boxes

hi everyone,

 

just picked up a supplier for these.

 

 

 

filled 7 of em today and one of the neighbours must have heard, coz he came round asking what i'd sell him a full one of ash/oak for.

 

the boxes measure 1000mm x 1000mm x 1200mm

 

i was thinking £75-00 for mixed h/woods and £60-00 for softwood/ offcuts etc

 

what do you lot think, too dear

try it, if people buy it witout hestitating, then its not to dear, i would say its a good starting price for trial

i say you are spot on, do they keep the boxes, or do you get them back??just put a £10 deposit on them which is given the next time they buy another

I sell my logs in those exact same boxes! i have been charging £70 for mixed ash and oak, but prices will be going up next year.

 

There great if you have a forklift to move them around.

Planning on buying a Skid Steer this summer (money permitting)

I'm guessing there'll be about 700kg's in each, is that about what your getting?

Would you mind posting who the supplier was and how much? These would be very useful for shipping logs, especially if they'd make them on the double sized pallets?

got a plant trailer at present, for the chipper, and was thinking whether my pallet truck would go up and down it. that'd be ideal

1.2m3 ! You could get away with £120.00 in some areas of the country if its seasoned etc. Anything under that should be ok.

looks like i'll be doing them for free next time (lol) but don't mind

 

the firm he works for import veg and these came from Egypt, i think

 

i've put my name to 50 of em. lol
