Mine has the "P" in a circle just like you say..

Of course it can't be in the manual :) 

Current emission laws force manufacturers to do everything anti-tackle so that only authorized hands would be able to adjust anything.

Echo dealers are usually trained to do override and adjust the carburetor in 5 steps.

Just as well i never fiddled with mine then!!
