Hello, I work for a small private woodland, we have had a request for some natural wood planks. We have three trees that we are taking down due to them causing havoc on the road/pavement with their roots so have the material. And also the room to do the milling, we also have room if anyone needs to rent space for milling. Other than that just any advice to do it ourselves would be lovely, there is a tree surgeon here that has past one off experience in this and could work with the Miller or off any advice. I've attached pictures of the Acer trees that we are taking down, and potential area to mill the trees.

We are in Lancashire near Bolton, any responses would be gratefully appreciated

Shame you are so far away or I would have come and helped but if you already have someone who knows chainsaws then if he has a saw big enough a chineses mill is not that expensive so you could just get one and have a go .

Do bear in mind that the Timber you have is good only for indoor use.  No acer is durable if exposed to the elements.
