We're launching a new machine next week and I'm laid up with a really painful back ache.

Loads of visitors to the factory on Monday and Tuesday, a meal and beer on Monday evening. A trip on a steam train, various machines being shown off and I'm as weak as a kitten, and I'm supposed to be demonstrating and because I know most of the visitors, I meant to be there with a smile on my face and full of humour!!! I can feel a short week looming.

after an effective dose of codeine i find its impossible to sleep:thumbsdown:

very nice painkiller though.

Don't take this the wrong way but have you tried accupuncture?. I crawled in sweating with pain and 20 mins later managed to walk out. I was a complete cynic before (and still are to an extent) but it was grand pain relief!.

Worth a try if nowt else is working.

Good luck:icon14:

That's what the wine is for :) I'll leave out the bit about the syrup of figs for breakfast:wave:

Thanks guys.

Years ago I tried Reiki, or hands on healing. Don't know it works, but it certainly did. I'm a bit of a cynic to alternative therapy but I can confirm that ordinary painkillers have little or no effect, and the anti-inflam stuff gives me the gripes right bad.

Wine and sleep are the best healers, gently exercise is also a must.

Have a good weekend all.
