I think a lot of work needs doing on light, we need to know more about the response of cambium to certain levels of it and other stimuli.:thumbup1:

 

 

look out for Helen Reads piece in a forthcoming AA journal, on the Basque Beech restoration project.

 

Branch orientation to light plays a significant part in how much cambial dieback there was in branch reduc success.
