A few from todays wondering around the mighty Frishden beeches, hama style:thumbup:

 

I find it amusing how "fragile" we are told the European beech is (Fagus sylvatica) It is in fact a born survivor, and these veterans bare witness to that, no matter what the rest of them say.

When was this article published (the BBC page shows no date) ? I heard of this Dalarna pine before, but I also heard from within the European myco & tree circle, that this claim had to be withdrawn, because of a lack of (scientific) evidence.
