this book may end up costing me 50-60 quid a pop!

say I produced 400, thats a 20k investment!

thats a bit risky! I would not make any profit, as it would push price of book out of the market, 20k is more money than I can afford to giveaway, sorry guys, this one is shelved for now.

Hama, for the info you are offering if you wanted write it on a napkin it would be fine by me lol.

Just an idea, but you could publish it in PDF format and people could print it out themselves. If you charge a small fee for it you could then raise the money to publish it in whatever format you choose. It would also help you guage the level of real interest. 15 to 20k is far too big a punt to ask anyone to take.

Tony. Have you considered web conferencing as a starter? The software exists to allow you to hold virtual meetings (free for small numbers). You could build up powerpoints and present them (with real time voice /webcam) with full interaction from the participants.

Not quite a book, but still reaching your fans :D

I havent, not something I even know about:001_huh:

Im thinking about just completing it as a PDF and letting it hit the web free of charge, it would certainly fit with my feelings on dissemination of knowledge:001_cool:

it wont help me buy a fractometer and or microscope though!

would you lot consider taking it as a spiral bound A4 booklet with a tough acetate cover and back?

say at 15to 25 pounds a pop?

A bargain at that price, I will put my name down for one (think you could charge more for it though)

The pdf idea is a good one, still charge a little Tony as im sure its going to cost you for the program.

BTW love your photos on the ATF website!
