Morning all.

Has anyone got available to hire, a bank mower with belt rake?

We need one for a job a couple of days at a time for every 2-3 weeks until mid-november ish.

Tried Alviti's already and a couple other but no rake.

We are in Somerset, happy to travel an hour or so to pick up.

Any help help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Jim

Pretty uncommon bit of kit. Are you looking to rake strimmed grass off a bank?

Surely no more dangerous to take a lawn rake up there than to walk behind a mower and belt rake?

I'd look at a large spring tine rake on a mini digger. If it's not too large a bank you should be able to get the digger positioned at the start of it with the blade behind you and rake down. To be fair, if a two wheel tractor with belt rake will climb it a good man will easily track a mini digger up it.

Post some photos.

Look to Europe plenty of rakes for sale fitting to two wheel tractors change front wheels for barrow tyres and your away. Try not to scarify the surface and the machine will keep on slope, steering brakes that work help. Slopes must be dry

had a Vogel and noot for many years sent it to scrap man at Easter nobody was interested

try to cut with a recip mower the rakes didn’t like working with strimmer arising tended to be to short and balled up
