Slightly off Topic about Dry Stone Walling

Digger would have been nice!

I barrowed every stone from a broken wall round that little wood in the distance.

The farmer said I was mental and would never do it.

 

We sat on that wall when I’d finished and he gave me a bottle of Grouse and we had a few tins of McEwans Export that Dad and Mam bought out.

 

Happy times.

The things you do when your 19! Still, it’s character building, and something to show for your efforts. Don’t think you’d get many 19 year olds opting to do that now. Looks a nice area by the way, is that Northumberland national park?
