Chipper

Planning to upgrade pto chipper, been looking at TP200. Thing is tractor is 60hp is anyone running one on the lower hp required and how does it run. 

Any other 8inch chipper worth look at for low hp tractor.

There was an old model for sale near me about a year ago but didn't go for it. 

Second hand pto chippers swam to be thin on the ground at the moment.

TP 200 ok on 50 hp ,  the older mobile had hatz silent pack 50 hp motor

That's what I was thinking.

Engine power and PTO power can be different.  We say 55 - 100 at the shaft is good as we have a rotation changing gearbox. But that is at 540speed. Back in the day, I had an 8" GreenMech on my U1000 Unimog which was tuned to 125hp at the engine which gave ample enough HP when run at 1000speed, ignoring the dash. It was quieter, used less diesel, produced less smoke etc.

Looked there and to big for tractor and massage John .
