Morning all,
Does anyone know of anyone operating a large mobile processor in northern england? I've been grading out all the timber too big for our processor this summer and there will be 60 ton now I should think. It's all ash and ranges from 12" up to 30". My digger man has a lasco splitter that we could break it up with then put it through our processor but I'm not that keen.
Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.
Tom
There is a bloke at Nottingham with a Posch Autologger 420. That'll take 450mm rounds then cut the bigger ones in half.

I knows it's a 3 phase machine but not sure if it's got the PTO option too.

Will pm his number across.

Theres Chris vickery at market weighton, just down the road, think he is running 2 big bells processors with something like a mtr capacity.

But youd have to take the timber to his yard.

you could also just sell your oversize stock.  12-15" will fit on most peoples processor.  15" + I usually cut into rounds with chainsaw & chuck into my processor.  Takes a couple of passes but nibbles it down.  If really big I'll resort to chainsawing to rounds then using my splitter to put into processor size.  Not perfect but makes use of them.
