The hayauchi is a very good bit of kit imo when used with the saw head, I dont get on with the parrot head style lopper head though, Much prefer the wolf garten style straight lopper head, As oppose to the curved hayauchi idea

got my hayauchi with saw n lopper attachment at aa show '09, been very good, aluminium one, only problem is having to change saw to lopper and back, need spanner + screwdriver, could use quick release bolts though, was £210 inc free t-shirt..Ed

They are a problem with changing heads and costly to buy. run 6.3m so cumbersom when on short jobs used a jameson a few times and wish i bought one instead. btw anyone know if i can buy a hook for pole? also who else lost nuts and washers in the first time they changed heads in the woods.

I don't get on with the lopper too well, had to take the cord out of the first pully so it cuts in one action instead of using the ratchet. Balls ache changing over to saw but still have me nuts! Wish I'd bought Jamesons now bit more cash but far better quality. I think because the pole section is kind of oval shape it's weaker on the thin section so if it gets stuck and twists it just folds like spagheti....if you think about it when was the last time you saw an oval shaped fishing pole? Never.
