There’s a UK dealer. Not sure if sharing details is allowed here (every forum is different) so if you want to know, drop me a PM and I’ll work out how to reply haha!

Do you currently have a log shed? Ideally you want the logs in a drying shed for atleast year, so you'd really want a shed with multiple bays, and able to store a year or two's wood.

No shed, but I’ll be building stores (sympathetic to the listed buildings...) everywhere I can squeeze one in.

I only need to keep the rain off. Through summer we get around 20hrs of daylight and our basic background wind level is approximately 30mph (we don’t notice it anymore, every day is a double pegger) so we have great airflow! It does rain quite a lot though.

I’d say on average, over the year, the wind wins the race though! Anything exposed and uncovered will dry, just slower than something covered.

Sounds like you have a tough year ahead of you.  Instead of renting machines think about getting a company in who brings their own processors & men etc and they will demolish through what you need within a week, some arnt as expensive as you think.  Or price up a artic load of pre cut/split logs loose.  If not good look and look after you back.
