true but some were talking £500 for 2 days work!

 

You could do it for that if you had no more equipment than one big saw to maintain, a can of petrol and travelled there on a push bike, oh and didn't buy dinner for two days :wave:

I've been right through this thread from start to finish, some of you guys are silly silly cheap!

 

I was thinking the same. I would be quoting that for at least £1500 inc VAT. For most people price is not a strong factor. They tell you it is but it is not.

 

I`d also want to be very clear with the client on what gets chipped or not, how big he wants the logs and which side of the wall all the logs are to go.

Was having a laugh as none of the "paddys" I work with would work that cheap ! Agree with you roller about 1500. Sounds like the customer was changing his mind with every quote to be fair to all involved.
