075 av chain brake question

Has anyone fitted a chain brake to an 075 av? or is anyone selling one?

I have trawled the internet and whilst there are a couple of threads about people doing it with 075 and 076's they're pretty old and I can't find any of the part numbers they spoke of.

I've had some luck with finding some of the relevant parts on ebay.de but does anyone know where I can get a list of what I need?

thanks, Alex

The 051,075 and 076 are all the same saw with tiny differences.
051 90cc
075/76 111cc
You should be able to interchange nearly all the parts.
There are IPLs on tinter web.
Are you cross cutting/felling with it?
As these older machines do tend to undo their nuts when running.
(And clutch)

cheers for that mate. I'll have another gander and give Stihl a ring once I've worked out the parts I need.

I bought it as a project saw and to have a go at milling with, but also cut up the odd large bit of wood. Hence the desire for a brake.

I've nowhere near the amount of experience require to fell a tree big enough to need it!

It's the first older saw I've owned, any other advice for it?

thanks, Alex

I’m after a clutch and clutch nut for a 076av ,if anyone knows of where I could get these parts, came loose while milling and the nut is long lost in a pile of shavings.
Really good saw , with a big bar on kickback is a very rare thing, but obviously a chain break is built in safety .
Nip every nut and bolt up regularly as said above they do loosen, I’ve used mine for many years and milled massive sections with zero issues other than the clutch .

If your local dealer hasn’t got one,
Phone stihl GB technical department.
They have access to back stock.
They won’t be cheap though!!!
