  1. So it took quite a while for the aftermarket fuel line to arrive 🤨 finally got around to fitting it today before I forgot how it put it back together…… got it done it’s fiddly as and put a little fuel in and got engine to fire more easily than I expected (hoping that’s it sorted) will refit the bar etc and check operation another day after taking a spill on some ice last night I can’t see me using it for a while 😖
  2. Genuine fuel line was £10.50 plus shipping so I decided to try a £4 eBay delivered special waiting for it to arrive 🤞it solves the running issue and the spraying issue if it does then I’ll look to sort the bar and chain out
  3. I have a husqvarna R53 in need of reassembly in my own….as well as an ms250 in now more bits than it should be 🙈
  4. Which is that part22 is what I need I think
  5. Found a great video after I had dismantled most of the saw 🙈 L&S diagram is wrong for my saw but the video looks right fuel hose doesn’t show any cracks but I the the seal to the tank isn’t sealing while it’s apart and carb is off I’m going to give it a clean does it need new gaskets et to reassemble? guy in video bought a whole kit I wasn’t going to……. Filter looks newish and I have a new plug ready to fit just hope this solves the issues
  6. One of the British national daily newspapers is asking readers "What it means to be British?". Some of the emails are hilarious but this one from a man in Switzerland "Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. He buys a holiday home in Spain, skis in France, fancies Swedish birds and has a Romanian au-pair. And the most British thing of all? Suspicion of anything foreign ". so isn’t being British about embracing things from elsewhere?
  7. Amount you see on the road I can’t think of a more British car except perhaps the mini (bmw ones that is)
  8. Had a look at L&S can’t see a spec for the fuel Line looks like 21/22 might be the issue hope it’s not 19 as that’s out of stock 🤦‍♂️
  9. I’m thinking split fuel Line time to strip her down I recon 🥴 how much to put it back together if I post you a box of bits 🤪🤪🤪
  10. Qashqais are built in Britain 🤷‍♂️
  11. Where is the shed of shame? Sounds like my kind of place! what’s a not cheapo stihl? For occasional use 🤔
  12. Hmm garden cleared but saw not running right 🤷‍♂️ runs fine on its side pull cord up but in normal. Cutting down like cutting up a log it stalls as soon as chain touched wood? also still spraying fuel onto my right hand from where between the top of tank and handle? 🤷‍♂️ It did what I needed to after a fashion…..but glad I wasn’t chopping firewood! what should I do? Not wanting to spend lots as I don’t use it much I use the pope saw on my combi more should I sell the MS250 and just buy a KM94? part of the reason for buying it was frustration at using a a husqvarna 235xp which as doing the same 🤔 BTW using Motomix recently purchased
  13. Used saw with reasonably well used bar and chain I don’t know how much life left in then. Saw was used by a pro before I bought it and I think he had bought it used
  14. Decided not too shame as a good deal will just order a new chain and hope bar lasts a little longer it doesn’t get much use
  15. Bummer a 261 sprocket is £37 at l&s so makes it over £100 if it fitted and that’s more than a bar couple of chains… shame oh well Stihl Tuning Kit MS261 WWW.HISLTD.CO.UK Conversion kit for a faster cutting attachment (16 inch/40cm) for MS261 chainsaw. Ideal for harvesting pinewood...
  16. So my saw has the older style sprocket I was looking for a new bar and chain and this deal is cheaper than a bar and single chain and a sprocket is £20? So still a good deal does this chain only work with that new style sprocket?
  17. Would this fit my ms250 with the correct sprocket?
  18. Thinking I’ll pick up some of the husqvarna fuel also just seen another dealer just up the road has Motomix 2 for £20.99 which is quite different to £27.50… so guess where I’ll be going In future 🤔 no wonder the showroom was like a total ghost town and no reply to the online enquiry I sent them last weekend. 🙈
  19. Why would I use that in a 4 stroke ?
  20. This seems to be the most cost effective method of buying Husqvarna XP Power 4 Fuel 5 Litre OAKLEYSGARDENMACHINERY.CO.UK Alkylate fuel ideal for 4-stroke Husqvarna engines. Minimises engine deposits, helping maintain performance, reduce... what’s the difference between aspen, stihl and husqvarna branded bottles? 🤔
  21. ah interesting I currently use the green stihl oil with pump fuel was considering buying a gallon of super unleaded (less ethanol) but my dad was convinced to buy or had a deal on 3 5l of aspen 4 with new mower (husqvarna) and I recently bought a a gallon of Motomix 2 from local dealer £27.50…. so as I just used the last of the second can of aspen since may (cutting lawns in mid November 🙈) and season seem to be getting longer I wondered about buying a bigger drum between us logicistcally not ideal but neither is having to go a buy “special” fuel so buying it once every couple of years when taking mower for service makes almost sense I used to use the red stihl oil but bought green when the red litre ran out (takes a while with our usage to use a litre of 2 stroke oil only mix a litre at a time and that can last a while between uses
  22. So considering using posh fuel but… mix of unleaded and mixed fuel kit is it better to buy aspen 4 and mix for the oil mixed engines? Or buy the pre mixed? Fuelling a mix of Honda 4 stroke and stihl 2mix and 4 mix kit domestically so irregular use maintaining 4 properties within the family part of the reason for asking is considering a buying a bigger aspen 4 drum between me and my dad rather than keep buying the 5l ones and creating more plastic waste my dads mower and strimmer has used 10l of aspen and I have used a jug of Motomix so I recon could use 20l a year between us. And with a 5year shelf life a 55litre drum might make sense ?
  23. Hmmm thanks wonder if it’s worth ordering some in advance of needing them?
  24. How did you on with the fix?
  25. What is the implement for adjustment ? Flat screw driver? mine is a 2006/8 ms250 🤷‍♂️
