I have just bought a Duun 420.

It uses 404 chain.

That seems to be available in 1.6mm & 2mm.

Which do I need as none of the specs seem to say & no markings on existing chain either.

I think 2mm (.080) is only used for harvesters.

The marking for chain gauge, pitch and number of drive links will be on the guide bar. The chain itself won't have any markings other than the manufacturer logo.

You can measure the width (gauge) of the drive links or bar groove to check.

So yours is 1.6mm then.

I best measure mine to be sure as it has two bars, the original and a second one that I dont know if its standard or not.

That makes life easier as I was struggling to find 2mm in the UK apart from a reel of rotatec.
