Some help please....

Hi,

 

I would like some help with identifying a couple of trees. One directly outside a house we are thinking of moving to and a larger one slightly further along the road outside the neighbouring property.

Obviously, possible subsidence issues spring to mind! Any advice would be welcome.

Plus a lot of chalk outside of Uxbridge......... Anyway,   these trees are within a house you are buying? The surveyor will have noted their concerns. K

Thanks. Yes, we are having the survey done on Monday.

Sorry, maybe I'll expand. The "more information" tab for a lot of areas contains the details about drainage and what the soil drains to i.e. Chalk or limestone. Information (at least in my experience) is also given which can show sub soil types

How ‘deep’ a survey are you paying for?

Not on that property but the neighbouring property (detached) had underpinning in 1991

Cut out the middle man and go straight to the British Geological Survey maps.

I think you are confusing soils with ahrinkable clays.
