4x4 van with a side loading door is the way to go, if its only for saws,fuel and a mucker the Kangoo sized vans are good.If you need bigger the Sprinter/VW make more sense, can have rear seats and carry shitloads of gear. Todays 4x4 pickups are more fashion than function and dont really do anything that well, complete ballache to wrestle gear in and out of.
