Value of this Tree?

Thanks guys I appreciate the advice. It’s just in a forest and no real need for care when felling and clearing up. I find it hard around here in Norfolk to find logs I’m after.
I paid £170 recently for a 3m burred dead log and cut some today really pleased with it. I’ll add pictures. I’m on Instagram again
trees_to_timber_uk give me an ad I’ll return the favour [emoji1303]
My thinking is also the other way if it’s good wood it will be worth good money that size.
I will see what the owner says and let you know [emoji1303]

If you want to take the chance,at least work out your costs for the job and bid them that.

Then if it works out in your favour, then it's all a bonus.

You can NEVER be sure what's in a tree and most people won't pay a premium for huge slabs, since two medium slabs edged and laid side by side look as good or better.

Plus they are hugely easier to plane, dress, move etc.

Everything is spot on, except people DO pay a premium for wide single boards.
Book matched pairs are cheaper.
Yes, I run a slab shop too.

My first ever attempt at a ‘book match’ pleased with these.
I have another dozen boards to cut.
This is from a fallen dead oak I paid £170 for. Well worth it!

You’ve overpaid.
And got lucky.
Try doing that everyday.
Find a local forester who can deliver to you.
