I had a climbing  zertification exam few weeks ago. There my rescue strategy was using the Rrpro in an DRS with an half hitch underneath. Worked very smooth and I has no doubts of overloading it

Just have to bear in mind it’s against manufacturer recommendations to use the rrp in a pick off rescue. Drt or srt. Same with the akimbo.

ive been climbing on the rope runner pro for a while, here are my thoughts. it seems to be well made although a lot lighter construction than the bulldog and i do wonder how well it will wear in time.

in use it self tends well and the pulley is a good addition, the release action is really nice and smooth now i have it dialed in, but its also very easy to release a load of slack should you need it, i use it on xstatic rope.

i find the small ring for the tending clip a bit if a pain compared to the larger thimble i have on the bulldog.

so overall i really like it to use, i havent had any problems with the topbird spring but its not that old yet either.
