I see as many downsides to this as to wonder why it happened and only a few upsides - feeding thorny stuff in along a row for one, but not over efficient in doing bigger timber. But the cost/benefit analysis doesn't work for me.

I think, if I remember correctly this was for a council in the West Midlands a short while ago. But happy to be corrected.

At a G per shift,, it may take 60 shifts to pay for it, maybe a load more! But that doesn't include transport for a 4000kg item, diesel, man power, servicing costs, huge spares package, breakages etc.....plus the cutting prior!

@PeteB  did a couple of sites in Essex for Bellways,  where that machine would have made all the difference, just on handling timber. Flat sites too. Only concern would be the weight of machine on wet ground. Flail mulcher head on a 360 wasn't a lot of cop. Crashed it down fine but then there is the dealing with the arisings. Depends on wot they want  the site to look like, after. K

I'm hazarding a guess that is in the region of 100k. If not more. Speaking as an ex Jensen sub dealer...

The 69hp one is 3300kg and i think i remember rightly my dealer saying it was in the region of 120k inc the crane. (probably at a vastly inflated Swedish price mind)

 

The RC crane was 20k alone i think. All plus vat i guess. 

 

Id hope thats list price, pre hefty discount  

 

Looks like quite a specific machine for a specific customer, im sure that on the job it's been designed for it'd be awesome!

Global Recycling did us a recon 12" Bandit on tracks fr abt 60 grand, was good as new. Bolting on a crane would not be more than nother 20 grand, if one was to enquire.  K
