Average Gas Bill....remind people

The average gas bill for January will, apparently, be £227 .

Maybe worth reminding the next people who complain that firewood has gone up a bit.

not in my hse got rid of gas boiler 2yrs ago got a wood burner with b/boiler that runs c/h and hot water.only use gas for cooking now,average bill per quarter is £12.00:thumbup:

mine was £240 for my central heating and hot water, we have easy used £120 worth of logs on the open fire to in the last month but unfortunately it doesnt do heating.

My gas bill is £13 per month, it's just for the hob and heatiing water. The woodburner heats the house and the logs are free.

we dont know if we are staying in this house but if we do i will definately be installing a big log burner and heating system.

We was going to get a burner attached to the radiators until we saw the quote. Our Stovax 8 heats the house on it's own in no time. It can be minus 8 outside and we are walking around in T-shirts. I stuck a eco fan on top which helps circulate the heat better.

we must wash more than you ours is £16

but do go through a fair amount of logs that if i sold would buy a lot of gas
