To log or not to log......?

After many yrs in the tree business (climbing) my knees are telling me to look for other ways of earning a crust, with this in mind I have been researching the prospect of selling logs, so far I have found a Palax processor and a Fordsons Major tractor to run PTO, comes in at around 3.2k all in, would this kit be ok to start off with?, any general advice about the selling of logs would be great, as a new member to ARB TALK site im sure theres someone out there who can give me a boot in the right direction, MANY THANKS!!!

The kit your going for will be fine and stick to hardwood.

if u doing logs just make sure there dry,all wood burns, but dry is the magic key !

I would say keep your day job and build it slowly. Crazy times at the moment makes the log business better than it is. A cheap stand alone splitter would be good if it came cheap enough tractor mount would be a pain my hakki lives on one of my tractors.
