That’s interesting as bought a brand new mid range Honda mountfield mower a few years ago with very similar motor and was useless and completely lacked power .(and nothing like the older Honda  hrx 537 mowers) have found husqvarna ones to be better value for money and seem to last well

real test will be in damp grass .

If you bought it a few years ago it would have been the old GCV engine. The new one has only been out for a couple of years and was only on Mountfield for the first season

Hi yes had tried this model and thought it lacked power and build quality but maybe I just had a duff one .if the grass was too thick/ slightly damp it  just clogged up the deck .even when cutting high.by the time I had tested it they didn’t offer a return
