I have sort of made a bit of a speciality of hedge removals, grind and replant (or replacing with fencing)

You have to sell it a bit and have the right gear, but it’s right good money, and they’re always pleased as punch with the result.

That is interesting but could take a lot of grinding / prep work to get closeboard fencing in .have only done a few jobs like this taking away builders crappy dead conifer hedges and replanting but the ground can be like solid concrete in new build gardens so easy to under quote for

That is a common scenario with the conifer on the picture and certainly hasn’t be maintained by the finest of gardeners .can still be green on the neighbors side so sometimes not the easiest thing to sort out

Have tidied up similar ones before and planted climbing plants to make it back into a hedge .

Also another question.got more devegetation strimming to do on Friday with the sorts of stuff that you quickly get caked in which ruins work clothes and never fully comes off after washing.so what to wear for such occasions which won’t be too hot

There has been some questioning though if I’ve got the best time efficient technique

Who questioned & how would they do it different?

I wear pair  of waterproof chaps over my work trousers trousers and a lidl cycle  jacket,  I keep  both  just for strimming  but its  hot.
