Forest Master Compact

Hello All,

Fairly new landscaping business. I am currently a one man band (occasionally get in a labourer).

I use a Ford Transit SWB and pay £40 to get rid of a vanload of green waste (van load averages 350 kg of weight).

I am looking to buy a cheap chipper/shredder. Anyone have an opinion on the forest master compact chipper? Any good?

Thanks

Maybe depends a bit on what you do, I find hedge trimmings don't chip that well but for tree work a reasonable chipper is faster than stacking, you get masses more in the truck so fewer trips to tip, and you can generally find free tips. It really pays off, worth spending a few grand on something decent. That machine just looks like it will be too slow and awkward to feed, waste of money and time.

6hp won’t do much...
Save up or finance a CS100, find the key start 18hp version. will chip 4-5” and it’s got a decent opening so can take none straight stuff.
You will also want a pair or ramps and a £100 rhino 3000lbs winch for ease of loading single crewed.
I can get mine on the trailer (with a run up) but in the back of the Hilux i need the winch
