I’m also trying to work out whether a tall tower offers an airflow advantage over a wider, squat one.

I would guess so, but at the cost of stability?

No worse dimensions than the mesh wrapped ones a few posts up and made of steel to boot. You could do triangular ones for thinner columns or pentagons, hexagons etc for fatter. All can tessellate and provide pleasing brutalism as a bonus.

Makes better use of upwards space if you don’t have the ability to stack other things too.
