Ford ranger winch bumper

I made mine out of plate, but i do a lot of fabrication work so it was fairly straight forward. I did download the plans - let me have your emai land i'll send them if you want? One important thing to bear in mind I found out when reasearching ideas for mine - it is illegal to fit a bull bar to a vehicle '56 plate or later. Be careful what your winch bumper looks like - if its anything more than just a mounting plate that sticks out, like the pics on this thread, your insurance company will not want to know about it. I'm only repeating what NFU told me but i did double check it online. Just useful to know about. Whether you stick to it is another matter :)

Jesus is that true? i was tempted by a stretched commercial range rover with a bull bar once. No wonder it was cheap. So I should still be alright fitting one to my 02 plate ranger then? Why make a law about banning bullbars to new vehicles when ones before a certain date still have them on ( or even those that don't - rangers have a steel bumper..) and may well demolish something along the way.
