Weird arrangment, I had figgered the obvious reciprocating motion(the 2 big rams being a dead giveaway), but not the puzzling and unneeded sideways rotation.

Anyway guarenteed to be very slow.

Does it not need the sideways movement to make the tree fall away from the machine.

You also need to take into account that no further work is needed  in tidying up the stump which is left level to the ground.

I thought the same but I suppose u can't put agree sheer on a loader or skid steer, so mibbee handy if u don't have access to a digger.

I think that the Australians could make good use of this machine for firebreaks.

 

I thought that it would work well on a teleporter so the tree could be further away and perhaps better visibility

 

Not cheap though but perhaps cheap compared to a tree shear, grab and stump grinder???

No reason you can’t cut the tree flush with the shear and I know which one one I’d rather be behind on a breezy day... 

Only one way to find out.   Side by side  test!
