Followed Red Winches on Instagram and spotted some Recovery Rings they do to work in conjunction with Soft Shackles.

Did a bit of digging and found this video which gives a good oversight of the concept.

 

Certainly a different way of going about things with much lighter easy to handle components, and the ability to make up multiple blocks easily could really help in many situations.
