Here's another one from the RSA Edinburgh gallery. The detail is incredible. OK it's not a painting, but bits of it have been painted. It's called Family Tree by Robert Powell.

Who's the artist(s)?

John Shelly and a Jersey artist whose name I can’t remember/make outIMG_4642.thumb.jpg.08426483ffc7585da32955ff7f9653b8.jpg

 

Believe JS has a picture or two in the Tate or National Gallery. Still painting and does a lot of paintings with trees. He did mine in 1982.

Have you ever read 'Epitaph for the Elm'? Quite enlightening about the inclusion of elms by the likes of Turner and Constable.
